Our Process

At MSH Portable Appliance Testing Services, we use the latest testing equipment, and every appliance is tested for the following:

Visual Inspection which includes the condition of the appliance, cable, plug and fuse.
>Insulation
>Continuity
>Leakage

The above tests then determine if the appliance / lead is deemed fit for general use, and then a PASS or FAIL label will be attached to the item.

Here are some examples of what we check for which could be extremely hazardous.

Detachable leads have to be treated as individual items and tested separately.

In order to carry out the tests all the items have to be unplugged, most items only take a few minutes to test so this will keep disruption levels down to a minimum.

When the testing has been completed you will receive the test results that will be dated of when the testing was carried out, along with the testing certificate and your next test due date.

You will need to save your paperwork incase the Fire Officer, HSE, or Insurance Company request to see it.
